Scientifically Guduchi is known as Tinospora cordifolia. In Ayurveda Giloy  regarded for its highest therapeutic value. According to Ayurveda Giloy is one of effective Indian medicinal herb .Giloy also known as Amrita because it has rejuvenating property. It is glabrous deciduous, climbing shrub. The stems are succulent with a filiform fleshy aerial roots form the branches .Giloy considered as a miracle as well as potent herb. All parts of Giloy  plant possesses medicinal property.

 Amrita possesses medicinal properties like anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic, anti-oxidant, anti-allergic and hepatoprotective. Giloy has immunomodulatory activities (enhance immunity). Heart shaped leaves of giloy plant are simple and alternate. The bark is greyish brown in colour.
